Movement-based spine assessment and rehabilitation. The Spine Score™ methodology is designed and clinically reviewed by Dr. Sourabh.

The PhysioThings Spine Score™ is an educational spine health assessment created by clinical physiotherapists. It is designed to help you understand your current spine situation, monitor it over time, and decide on the most appropriate next step.

What it combines

  • Symptom Health — intensity, duration, pattern, trend and radiating symptoms.
  • Daily Function — sitting tolerance, walking tolerance, sleep disturbance and work impact.
  • Lifestyle Factors — sitting load, exercise frequency, sleep quality, stress and activity level.
  • Movement Response — how your symptoms respond to a guided movement check.
  • Recovery Indicators — confidence in recovery, prior episodes and activity interference.

How the score is calculated

Each component is converted to points using rules informed by physiotherapy practice and current evidence on spine pain. The five sub-scores are weighted — Function and Movement Response carry the most weight — and combined into a single Spine Score from 0 to 100, a Risk Category, and a Recovery Potential rating.

What it supports

  • Awareness of your current spine health.
  • Self-monitoring across repeat assessments.
  • Tracking the impact of exercise, lifestyle changes and rehabilitation.

What it is not

The Spine Score™ is not a medical diagnosis, imaging interpretation, or treatment plan. It does not replace consultation with a qualified clinician. If your assessment flags safety concerns, you will be guided towards a professional consultation before any self-management is recommended.
